It is also trimmed to show 7p or wider slides, it has a new back reflector. The kit also includes an LED bulb. All you need to do is remove the original lens assembly and put this in its place. Please read the description for more details and instructions.

    Just remove your lens assembly and put this one.
    Please Note

    Install it
    carefully
    (it will require a little care and several tries to get the lens assembly in place properly)
    The original lenses have been taken apart and cleaned (not a trivial task)
    One picture shows the trimmed lens assembly vs. the original
    The trimming causes the edges of the bulb to show in wider images (no problem with standard 5p stereo slides)
    It would be nice to clean the battery contacts, even though the LED bulb is not prone to flickering.
    The batteries should go in a specific orientation for the bulb to light up. The
    negative should face the side of the slide changing handle
    . If you install them the other way, the LED bulb will not light up.
    You can only use (a pair of size D batteries). No vintage transformers (these are a bit of a problem with the LED bulb)
